Gift certificates will no longer be available for sale after July 31,2025. There is no change to how gift certificates can be redeemed.
Buying: Available until 7/31/2025.
Redeeming: Provide gift certificate for payment as usual. Expiration is listed on each gift certificate. I have always extended expiration dates on request. However no gift certificates will be accepted after 7/31/2030.
Why: I want to start this by saying that I have no intention of closing my business anytime soon. There are multiple factors going into this decision:
- The longevity of my career
- My dislike of businesses that sell gift certificates until the day before they permenantly close.
- By federal regulation, gift certificates need to be accepted for five years.
The long story short is that while I have no expiration date for this business, it is a relief to me that after 7/31/2030, I will have one less thing to worry about.
What if you want to buy a gift certificate after I stop selling them? It’s a more hands-on approach. You just need to coordinate with the person you want to gift a massage to and book their appointment (or have them book it themselves), and then either prepay or be available to pay in person at their appointment.
